Terms

Last updated 28 August 2026

These are the terms for using Daycrane. They are short because the product is: you keep a list of dates, and we email you before they arrive.

The arrangement

You can use Daycrane if you can form a contract where you live. Keep your account to yourself — the sign-in code and the calendar feed addresses are the keys to it, and anyone holding one can read the dates it covers.

You are responsible for what you put in. Do not use Daycrane to store other people’s data in ways they would object to, and do not use it to harass anybody. We may close an account being used that way.

What it costs

Nothing today. If that changes we will tell you well before it applies to you, and you will be able to export everything and leave without paying anything.

What we promise

We will do our best to send the digest when you asked for it, keep the calendar feed serving, and keep your data where you put it. But this is a small product run by one person, and it can be down, an email can be delayed or eaten by a spam filter, and a calendar client can decide not to refresh.

So do not rely on Daycrane alone for anything that truly matters. It is a reminder, not a guarantee. We are not liable for a missed birthday, and to the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising out of using Daycrane is limited to what you have paid us — which today is nothing.

Daycrane is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not let us exclude. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from settings, and it takes effect immediately. Export first if you want your dates — afterwards we cannot get them back for you.

We can close an account that is being used to harm somebody, or that is doing something unlawful. Other than that we will not close your account without telling you why and giving you a chance to take your data out.

Changes

If these terms change we will say so in the changelog, and by email if the change is one that affects you materially. Continuing to use Daycrane after that means the new terms apply.

The rest

Swedish law applies, and the Swedish courts have jurisdiction — though if you are a consumer elsewhere, that does not take away rights your own country gives you. If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
